Innovation and tradition for mechanical installations

The name PLAKOMA comes from the German words: “PLanen”, “KOnstruieren” and “MAschinelle Einrichtungen” which stand for planning and design of mechanical installations. We plan and design your mechanical installations with our basis of tradition and experience using state of the art technology. This is what we are dedicated to and have been dedicated to for almost 40 years.

In April 1969, Ernst Braun and Rudolf Schirm founded the company PLAKOMA GmbH for planning and designing mechanical installations. In 1973, the design activities were extended by the sister company Braun u. Schirm GmbH & Co. KG to include manufacturing. Since then, on the 4,000 m² site of a former brickworks in Nalbach-Körprich, a company specialising in rolling mill technology has established itself.
